How I Got Started

One day, my dad suggested that I take some pictures of our cat, Max Frederick, and make a coloring book. But I wanted to do something bigger and better. My mom also thought it was good idea. I was on my way to creating this website and all of my books.

Art Is Life

I’ve always liked to create art, even from an early age. I started in preschool. Later, I took art classes on Saturdays, and even was in an art show.

My first book, Max Frederick’s Nap, was created by hand. I painted all the backgrounds myself and my father helped me put them into the book. Then, I took the iPad out of his hands and started making books by myself, without any adult supervision. The first book was called The Antics of Max Frederick, and was followed by a travel guide about what to see in and around Santa Monica, and a how-to book called How to Raise a Pet Cat. I am producing these books too quickly that my editor can’t keep up. They will be coming out soon.

Special Holidays

I love special days — in fact, I love all holidays. Easter, Christmas, my birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Cat’s Day. Oh, I forgot, there is no Cat’s Day. But if there was, I would love it.

I like camping, inside or out. I believe in human rights, and I like the beach. I am pretty good with a Frisbee. My parents take me hiking. I like to scooter. I have a mom named Tabby, and a dad named Lee. I have a cat named Max Frederick. You might recognize that name. I have a lot of cousins and a brother and sister. My grandmother is named Tania but I call her Bopi. My granddaddy is named Wharton but everyone calls him Tinny. He is also an author and illustrator of The Story of Timmy Sprite.
